Kutya Preparation:

Rinse the wheat groats and cook them in 1 liter of salted boiling water.
Simmer over low heat until tender, about 40–50 minutes.
Let it stand for 10–15 minutes.

Rinse the poppy seeds and soak them in boiling water for 30 minutes. Drain the water, add a bit of sugar, and grind the poppy seeds using a mortar and pestle or a blender with a knife attachment.

Chop the walnuts, rinse and dry the raisins.
Add the poppy seeds, raisins, walnuts, and honey (dissolved in a small amount of warm water) to the cooked wheat porridge.

Mix well.
